Greetings in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Welcome to Saint Mary Star of the Sea School!  We are proud to share our school with you, with all the history that a 94-year tradition can provide. With the leadership of the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia and the outstanding education provided by Sisters, lay teachers and staff throughout the years, we are privileged to continue to hand on the Catholic faith to the present generation. With the presence of military families and families from the surrounding Tidewater area, the students are from diverse backgrounds and bring to our school many cultures and experiences that enrich the lives and the education of all at St. Mary’s. Our educational program is grounded in the Catholic faith, enriched with a strong math and science program, and enhanced by our Marine Science outdoor classroom which is next to the school on Mill Creek Bay. Come and visit us in person and see for yourself how our students are growing in love, learning and service. Their joyful spirit is contagious, so watch out, you will want to stay!

God bless you and your family.
