Tuition Info and School Hours for 2009-2010
Pre-Kindergarten ( 3 and 4 year old program)
Hours- 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
After School Care available until 5:30 p.m. ($4.25/hour)
PK After School Care full time rate $3,060/year (20%)
Annual Tuition: $3,110 (Parishioner rate) and $4,110 (Non-parishioner)
Kindergarten through Eighth Grade
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Two Wednesdays/month 2:00 p.m. dismissal)
Annual Tuition: $3,990 (Parishioner rate) and $5,470 (Non-parishioner)
Registration Fee:
A nonrefundable registration fee is due for each new or returning student upon acceptance.
Other Fees:
Books and fees are due for each student by July 1st of the registration year. Please call the office for the rates.
Tuition Payment and Tuition Assistance:
Tuition payments are due on the first of each month, beginning in August of the current school year.
Admission to Saint Mary’s is open to children entering grades Pre-K - 8.
St Mary Star of the Sea School is a regional Catholic school serving Hampton Roads since 1923. It is served by the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia. It is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and Virginia Catholic Education Association (VECA).
Prospective students are encouraged to experience the life of the school with a visit arranged through the office. Parents should meet with our principal and are encouraged to attend our November or January Open Houses.
We look forward to welcoming many new families to Saint Mary’s and encourage all members of the school community to refer prospective families to the school. We hold Open Houses each year for new families, and welcome tour requests year round.
