Performance Series Academic Testing
Three times during the school year, students in grades 1-8 across the Diocese of Richmond are assessed using the Scantron Performance Series, a computer based program that assesses students’ proficiency in Reading and Math. This assessment tool allows teachers to monitor student progress toward meeting the grade level knowledge and skills required to compete and lead in today’s global economy.
Each spring, 5th and 8th grade students take the Assessment of Children/Youth Religious Education (ACRE). The ACRE assessment is an integrated approach to faith knowledge assessment, and the IFG is a survey for knowing and living Catholic faith. These tools help NCEA fulfill teaching missions of the Catholic Church
